Little Valley Ranch has been raising Rocky Mountain Elk since 1995. In 2001 we started a herd of Northern Whitetail Deer as a suitable part of our ranch operation. We find our Northern Whitetail deer easy to enjoy, appreciate, and take pride in them. They are also very hardy to North Dakota's sometimes harsh climate.
As avid outdoorsmen and also experienced in providing guided harvests, we know what both we and our clients like to see in the Whitetail genetics. So, we selected our foundation Whitetail Does from two well established herds in North Dakota. These good Northern breeders have similar goals to the ones we have set for ourselves as breeders.
We do
not currently use natural service. Instead, we are proud to be able to
offer select Whitetail Deer breeding stock, as well as also provide a harvest
for other clients, from our strict A.I. breeding program.
We are pleased with the results of our A.I. breeding program. In 2003 we had tremendous success with our first fawn crop, and each year since, we always look forward to continue our ranch goals for impressive future genetics. Pictured on this page is one of our first yearling Whitetail bucks born in 2003, shown in "velvet".
